In our therapy practice, we work with both women, men, and children, individual or together as couples or family, providing confidential help in a safe, nurturing, and accepting atmosphere. We have a general practice and specialize in working with clients who went through traumatic experiences. This includes trauma relating to histories of attachment problems, childhood neglect, abuse and trauma, and the relationship issues that may result. The effects of the early experience of trauma can be wide-ranging including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, eating disorders and addictions, and problems with intimacy. Post-traumatic stress in adulthood can also follow upon childhood abuse and trauma.
Therapy Fees and StructureTherapy can be face-to-face or by telephone supplemented by email or fax.
Our fee for therapy is $95 per 50 minutes. This fee does not include telephone charges when counseling takes place over the phone, if any is incurred by the center. There is a 20-minute minimum for phone counseling ($38) In case of hardship a sliding scale fee could be offered, related to verified income.
Cancellation policy: 24 hours' notice is requested if appointments need to be cancelled. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full fee is charged, with a minimum of $50 for a missed telephone sessions. Emergency cancellations in case of verified illness are assessed and evaluated on an individual basis. Consultation We offer consultation for clinicians who are wanting:
* case consultation
* grounding in the fundamentals of counseling and EMDR
* familiarity with more advanced aspects of counseling and EMDR
* certification with EMDRIA As an EMDRIA-approved consultant, Dr Van Zee can work with you to meet the requirements for certification or approved-consultant status with EMDRIA.
